Aura — Terms of Service

Last updated: 29 July 2026 · Applies to the Aura mobile app.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Rohan Surve ("Aura", "we", "us") governing your use of the Aura mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. What Aura is — and what it is not

Aura is for reflection and entertainment. It provides daily astrological guidance based on traditional Vedic methods. It is not professional advice. Nothing in the App is medical, psychological, financial, legal, or other professional advice, and it should not be relied on as a substitute for a qualified professional. Decisions you make are your own responsibility. If you have a medical, mental-health, financial or legal concern, please consult a qualified professional.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the App. If you are a minor in your jurisdiction, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Licence to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

4. Aura is free, and advertising supports it

Nothing in the App is for sale. There is no charge of any kind, no coins or tokens to spend, and no checkout. We never ask you for money or for card details, the App contains no way to take money from you, and every feature it offers is available without giving us any.

Advertising is what supports Aura instead. Screens other than your daily guidance may carry an advertisement, and where the App offers to open something in exchange for watching a short video ad, that offer is always optional — declining it costs you nothing, and nothing is withheld from you as a consequence. What an advertiser receives, and the things it is never given — your name, your birth details and your readings among them — are set out in section 2g of our Privacy Policy.

Should we ever offer something you can pay for, these Terms will be rewritten to describe it before it becomes available and the "Last updated" date above will change. Until that happens, this section governs: any other page, store listing or message suggesting the App sells something is wrong.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App. In particular, you will not: reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law; interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers; attempt to access the App or related systems in an unauthorised way; or use the App to violate any law.

6. Intellectual property

The App, its design, artwork, text and the guidance content are owned by Aura or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks, logos or content except the limited licence to use the App described above.

7. Content accuracy

Aura separates what it calculates from what it interprets. The calculations — the panchang, the dasha periods and your birth chart — are derived from the birth details you give us by a documented method, and match the standard references; you are welcome to check them against any trusted almanac or chart. The interpretation built on top of those calculations is offered for reflection only. Aura does not predict outcomes or events, makes no claim of predictive accuracy, and no reading is a forecast of what will happen to you.

All of it is provided on an "as is" basis using a documented method that may be refined over time. We do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aura and Rohan Surve will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to ₹1,000 or the minimum required by applicable law, whichever is greater. We state a fixed sum because Aura is free: there is no amount you have ever given us against which a loss could otherwise be measured. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

10. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may update, change or discontinue features of the App, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the App.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction — except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence gives you additional rights or a different forum.
